Clyde and filmmaker, Elam Stoltzfus, have spent the previous year working on a PBS documentary on the aquatic preserves of Florida. This exhibit will consist of the images Clyde captured during the year-long project. Elam will also be at the gallery showing his award winning documentary, Living Waters ~ Aquatic Preserves of Florida. He will also give you some of the "behind the scenes" anecdotes of making the film, which received the national Telly Award and Wolfson Award.                                                     SWAMP WALKS (Muck-Abouts)

Clyde and I believe that the only way a person can connect with the environment is if they have their feet touching the earth...in Florida, that means your feet are going to be wet! The best time to experience the essence of Florida is during the summer -- you are enveloped by humid air, lush green vegetation, and the feeling of being surrounded by the primeval. It is a wonderful experience and one we love sharing with others.
During your swamp walk you will enjoy being guided by some of the greatest people in South Florida. They will make sure you don't get lost and will explain some of the exceptional wonders of the environment in which you are traveling. The walks take place all day throughout the three-day holiday and last approximately one hour. Be sure to bring a change of clothes because you WILL get wet! For the times of each walk, check out Clyde's website at http://clydebutcher.com/    or see below.
The Swamp Walks cost $20 per person (non-refundable) and reservations are required. Proceeds are donated to the Friends of Big Cypress. Reservations are made through Clyde's website at : http://clydebutcher.com/reservations/forms/swampwalkform.cfm   or call (888) 999-9113.
